Warriors Class of 1962 Mini-Reunion

Friday, October 9^th and Saturday, October 10^th

Events:

Please read through and indicate by email or text message to me if you can come and what events you plan to attend. (papasans@mac.com or text at 901-351-8084) If you text me, please include your name if I don’t have you in my contacts.

1. Friday, October 9th- Lunch at Catfish Hotel. Jerry Nixon will be arranging this so we need to know if you are coming. Time to be announced.

2. Saturday, October 10th- 10:30- Fred and Dianne Johnson are hosting at the Johnson Barn, 5302 N.Shiloh Rd, 38834. We will have brunch catered. Come and enjoy a very relaxed atmosphere to eat and visit for as long as you wish. Food is being donated in memory of Jim and Jan Johnson by one of our classmates. Fred and Dianne have asked us to leave it as clean as we found it so a few volunteers are needed to clean up. They graciously do not charge a rental fee. It is a wonderful gathering place and we thank them.

3. Friday, October 10^th -5:00 p.m.- Borroum’s Drug Store will open its doors to us for a fun evening. The cost is $25 per person. This includes burger, drink, chips and milkshake. You will need to sign up and send check to reserve your place.

When responding, indicate if you are coming to all events or 1,2 or 3.

Your quick response insures three great events to enjoy together. Of 105 classmates, 62 have passed away plus others who were dear to our Class. We treasure time together. I laugh and say it is a mini-reunion because there are not many of us left!

We will be checking with the Hampton Inn for special rates or to block rooms. Let us know if you will be staying there.

All of us remember Billy Gene Austin as a really nice person.  It was heartwarming to get this really nice letter from his caregivers acknowledging the Class of 1962 donation in his memory.
